You have the ability to make a difference with this project. Please consider purchasing raffle tickets for every bi-weekly draw.

Our community is continually growing and so is the need for outdoor activities to stay fit and healthy.  The Red River Wellness Committee has been formed with plans to rebuild the current tennis/basketball court at the Morris School. Currently there are no other tennis or pickleball courts in Morris. We hope that with your support, we can turn a worn-down tennis/basketball court into a refreshed tennis, pickleball, badminton and basketball court so that it has multiple uses for all ages.  If you are unfamiliar with pickleball, we suggest you check it out at www.pickleballmanitoba.ca as it’s a really cool sport for all ages.  It first came to Morris for the Manitoba 55 plus games in June of 2013.

We plan to build two new courts with lights and a fence that will allow for tennis, pickleball, badminton and basketball to be played.  The estimated cost for this project is $200,000 with a completion date of November 1, 2022.  Companies and individuals who wish to sponsor the outdoor court refresh and expansion can do so in many ways.

As well as supporting the project by purchasing Raffle Tickets, donations will be graciously accepted. They can be sent to the directly to Morris School above by cheque or process an online donation through the Red River School Division at bit.ly/3bWiaPu and under the "Gift Information", select Morris School in the left dropdown menu; Outdoor Court Refresh & Expansion in the right dropdown menu.  You can also drop off a donation at the Town of Morris office, Morris School or anyone of the committee members.
